So I have been promising some of you that I would put pictures up of our apartment...well, I've finally done it! I would still like to do a little more decorating, but here's what it looks like for now...

This is looking out the window in our bedroom. I don't think you can see it in this picture, but just above the rooftops you can see one of the peaks of the Alps.

A couple weeks ago (I'm a little behind on blogging...sorry) our church had a family retreat and we were able to attend. It was in Teisendorf, Germany, which is about 15 minutes from the Austrian border. We had some free time on Saturday and friends with a car. They invited us to come with them to Konigssee. It was gorgeous and not somewhere we would've been able to get to very easily by our normal mode of transportation...the train. Since we were so close to Salzburg we decided we should watch "The Sound of Music" when we got home and this lake is shown several times in the opening credits. The first two pictures are the main lake. We took a boat tour to the other end of the lake and then got off and took a short hike to another lake that's shown in the third picture.
